May 17, 2012 · May 17, 2012 / Craftsman Throttle and Governer Springs. #1. Hey Everyone, I bought a used Craftsman 115-082A352 lawn mower with the Brigs and Stratten 89802 motor. The PO had some ghetto springs on the throttle and governer linkage. I tried to make a new setup but it does not work. It either revs like crazy or stalls. Start by locating the air filter and removing the cover. You may need to use a screwdriver if your cover doesn’t use clips to keep it in place. Remove the Filter. Remove the filter from the housing and set it to one side. Clean the Housing.
